because i have a reputation and network here that i have invested two years of my life in creating

and that is my source of work and income now. also there is people that i feel connected with and haven’t felt that on other places of the internet

(i live in a small city in the south of chile. not much happening here)

I think that this is one way where the Farcaster social graph/underlying infrastructure vs the Farcaster (Warpcast?) interface/experience is an important nuance, as others can & are building out upon the infrastructure in different ways....

Yes, but ideally you'd also have platforms that don't try to lock you in but rather empower you (by seamlessly integrating into your digital identity)

so that when you no longer want to use the platform you don't lose your data/social graph

This is also part of the reality/challenge of relying on only one locus of energy in an externalized/unowned place vs being able to have... a foundational self node that then proliferates into a variety of spaces?

maybe im relying too much on the farcaster app, and should explore a new one to feel that I’m not locked in on this one
