This is the reason Elon is being so vocal about Trump's bill.

The gap between the red line and the yellow line... and the increase of the blue bar show that Tesla is building way more cars than are being sold. 

These extra cars are just sitting in parking lots losing money. 

BUT Tesla earns Regularatory Credits for each car it builds that it then sells to manufacturers of gas cars.

Tesla was only profitable last quarter because of these credits and it's BTC holdings because demand for Tesla cars has dropped so much. 

Trump's bill kills the regulatory credits, which kills any chance of Tesla being profitable.

Elon supported Trump to avoid jail, but Trump's bill might destroy a big portion of his wealth.
