Sometimes I wonder , is Farcaster really as open and inclusive as we say it is ? 
Are we truly creating space for others to join ?

Open… yes. 
Inclusive… sorta.

Lots of people actively include new users culturally and conversationally. But farcaster is also passively exclusive; the tech bro crypto stuff is obvious and gross (to regular people).

That’s for sure, and $fair was another great example 😅, but those are personal projects with strategies unrelated to Dan. I have to admit that I’ve also been a bit lost for some time

You’d have to ask Dan. If you browse his casting history, he explains his thinking and goals often. His /goal/ is growth; I think that’s backwards. Growth should result from a well-made, principled product. For better or worse, farcaster doesn’t stand for anything besides, maybe, personal enrichment. I came here because I thought farcaster was a principled alternative to Twitter. It’s not.

Yeah, you’re right. I’ll admit, sometimes I don’t fully understand all this complex tech it goes over my head a bit 😅 but still, we can just scroll past comments like that if we’re not interested. Thanks Wake.

But I have another question: why try so hard to bring in new users, when we know so many from Crypto Twitter already came and left without ever coming back ? Isn’t that something worth questioning
