Because when you think you know something (via the mind’s conception), you don’t give it the same attention in the present. Nothing is static, so the latter is the only way to truly know something

Very important, when as a parent you think you can offer your kid all the knowledge in the world.

This is for example, the reason I hate classic works adaptations per kids. Like, no, your 5 year old will probably get nothing out of a 10 page version of a Shakespeare work, but you will deprive your kid of the joy of discovering it when the time is right.
