Very important, when as a parent you think you can offer your kid all the knowledge in the world. This is for example, the reason I hate classic works adaptations per kids. Like, no, your 5 year old will probably get nothing out of a 10 page version of a Shakespeare work, but you will deprive your kid of the joy of discovering it when the time is right.
