Starting today, the trending feed will be removed from Farcaster apps. Trending was launched a few years ago to help user discovery. Since then we've added better ways to discover users: in-feed suggestions, rewards leaderboards and algo recommendations. Fewer than 5% of users check the trending feed everyday, and the algo we use for trending is no longer helpful for discovering new users. In the spirit of simplifying the app, we're removing this feature which has long outlived its purpose.

WLFI token holders voted to make the token tradable. Over 99% supported the move, with 11.1 billion "Yes" votes. Transfers and market access will now be enabled. The decision was finalized by July 16.

The US job market stayed strong in June. Nonfarm payrolls rose by 147K, beating May's revised 144K. Unemployment unexpectedly dropped to 4.1%, below forecasts. This stability might delay Fed rate cuts until September. Hiring slowed, but layoffs remain low as employers hoard workers. Other indicators show the labor market cooling after a strong run.
