It's interesting how AI is changing the game on old concerns around legalese.

When I first started working on Artificial Intelligence back in 2014 one of the first things we wanted to do was make a legalNLP translator. Because they were over complicated, intentionally hard to understand, and oftentimes we were on the short end of the stick.

@bored made a post on X yesterday about going through insurance docs with AI as he deals with the loss of his home in LA. AI has given the average people a way to fight these brute force contracts and sift out the hidden traps buried within.

Yes! This is one of my fav use case! But also it’ll be cool to integrate chatGPT in Etherscan to explain verified contracts, it can literally reduce scams a tons!

Hi Vitalik, I came across an unusual document — Enron’s “terms of service” from 2025. It’s satire, with a bold disclaimer calling it “parody” and “performance art,” yet it maintains the professional structure of legal documents. The text mixes outdated references, like Google+, with modern ones like TikTok, creating a humorous critique of corporate culture and overcomplicated legalese. This made me think about how blockchain and decentralization could redefine such systems. Smart contracts already eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy, replacing it with transparent, executable code. Could this technology lead to a future with simpler agreements, or might it create even more complex rules for digital frameworks? Enron’s story shows the dangers of broken trust in centralized systems. With blockchain offering trustless solutions, how far are we from replacing traditional legal frameworks with decentralized alternatives? Thanks for all you do!

Yeah, Summarizing has been a great killer use case of LLM (it's not strictly accurate to call summarizing but it's close enough)

To anyone trying to get a public or third sector job, its so good for writing the BS you need for applications. Upload a pdf of your cv, the job description, and the points you want it to write against, and it does surprisingly well. Pays to write hyper verbose CV so it has access to examples to draw from.

Yes indeed. The government needs to control AI otherwise we the people will have access to easier paths to the truth. What would it look like if anyone could have used AI to ask about Hunters laptop? They would have found out the truth and the polling suggested that would have changed a massive number of votes. AI not controlled by government is the enemy of government. Said another way government is the enemy of the truth.

Still TLDR but I wouldn't accept it. A robot or a cat might accept it for you if you aren't careful tho.

Ethereum’s future isn’t just about scaling—it’s about adaptability. Imagine a network where smart contracts refine themselves over time, aligning incentives dynamically and minimizing governance bottlenecks. By fostering seamless interoperability and evolving with its users, Ethereum could move beyond being the leading blockchain to becoming the foundation of a truly decentralized global economy. Just thinking out loud 🙃
