It would be nice to get clarity on the tax consequences and which cryptos are securities and which are not. And I’d like to abolish the IRS and move to a consumption based tax system. Maybe the Fair Tax. But no more tax on income or investment gains. And then see what real innovation looks like.
The IRS has always been an enemy of the people. We could repeal the 16th amendment. Our predecessors created the income tax. It’s not in the Constitution. If someone wants to buy a $100m yacht they should be able to and they can pay a giant tax. Let the people control how much tax they pay by choosing how much they consume.
As James Madison wrote in Federalist 51; ambition must counter ambition. In AI too. Monopolies rarely end well. Competition. And make sure government does not control any of it. Government does not want us to be able to find the truth easier.
If Saylor is close to accurate and BTC is digital property in Manhattan which can be bought by anyone, in any dollar amount, and held at zero cost (i.e. no real estate taxes or maintenance or utilities etc…) talk about leveling the playing field?!?
