Would be amazing to see Farcaster incorporate elements of AT Protocol to become the HTTPS of decentralized social. Namely, the ability to use DNS in addition to ENS as usernames and use of a PDS so everyone - especially brands - can host their own historical content via HTTPS.

DNS usernames are not a bad idea. Not super high priority (very few people care right now) but something we may do in the future. Federation (aka PDS) is bad devex for anyone building clients. Unlikely that we go down that path.

Appreciate the response and hope you keep an open mind on the PDS idea. Been building a lot of ATProto lately and frankly the DX is the same or slightly better, especially for apps that have app-specific data which also opens a whole new world of experiments that we can try. But, more importantly, content remains under the control of the creator so long as they keep their PDS. On FC, I've had historical posts where images are no longer available.
