I’ve heard about the “list of priorities” method of shipping at Merkle. How do you scope something? How do you decide who works on what? How do you handle shifting priorities? Who and how updates the list of priorities?

1. Scoping isn’t hard, people on the team can usually guesstimate how long something will take with high accuracy 2. The highest priority thing should get the best person for the job and then you just work your way down 3. Dan and I do the big priorities, most people keep track of deeper sub priorities in their own areas of focus
