I haven’t gotten a new follower notification since FarCon. 

I’m used to it being broken. 

Today I got one and got really excited and their bio is:

AIRDROP FARMER in all caps. 

They are a very sus account. 

So I wilt say this unironically:

what is your notification filter set to? 

if its medium we show most people that are real humans, so you may have to change it to high if you don't want these.

But serious question if they aren’t good enough for the following tab, why am I getting notifications at all?

These are the last ones I got before today’s update. No one who followed me today made it to this tab.

It’s confusing. I set mine to low but I will have to rethink it.

the old algorithm for notifications was very restrictive on follows (because we had an issue with a lot of follow-spam) 

we've made some changes that bring follow notifications back to users, and have given people control to fine tune them in the activity tab. 

the follow tab still needs to be updated, and will either match what the activity tab does or go away if it feels duplicative, based on user feedback.

I desperately want to see new follower on the followers tab. I see them once in a blue moon. 

Got excited today to see a new follower notification and wrongly assumed it would be an update to the follower tab. 

I’ll just ignore them. I’d rather not miss comments.
