Warpcast Experiment: Boosts! 

A boost gives your account more distribution for 24 hours. Each day, we'll give out 10 boosts to accounts that: 

- Have < 10k followers 
- Have casted recently 
- Have not received a boost recently
- Post bangers (manual judgement)

Boosts give your casts more views, which should translate into more likes and follows (if you're writing bangers)

You'll get a notification when it goes live and you'll have 24 hours to use it before it goes to someone else.

Why 10 boosts per day?

When you're boosted, your casts are being recommended to people who don't follow you already. A little bit of this is good, but doing too much makes the feed feel less personal. 

At the current DAUs, we can do about 10 per day comfortably. As Farcaster grows, we may do more.

How do you choose who gets boosted? 

Any algorithmic system will get gamed and result in junk being recommended to people. We have a heuristic that picks accounts for boosts and then we manually review their posts to see if its something that most people would enjoy seeing in their feeds.
