Think I’m out on personal channels

Not much reason to cast in them vs. to your home feed (followers) unless you’re really leaning into building a community around your personal brand (most people aren’t)

I do enjoy the lens of them being like a Facebook wall where friends can post “to” you (a bit different than tagging you) but don’t think that’s enough of a benefit on its own

Channels as microblogs was an appealing concept but agreed it fell flat. Experimenting with narrow casting more since my urge is to stay organized vs home feed

I could boil my content down to two types, media and writing. I guess I'm not confident the audiences intersect. @geoffgolberg gave me some data that shows they're distinct

Why do you want to stay organized? What’s the point? How does putting a cast into a channel help you stay organized beyond the initial satisfaction of categorizing the cast?

[I also had a similar urge but have been slowly letting go of it in favor of the home feed]

Tbh organization and curation is why you’d do it now, but it’s tough to justify
