I thought the Shopify integration forthcoming was cool and good. The credit card seems cool but I’m 25k in debt on my current one so Not For Me

2: then came Saturday. You’ve all seen the picture and heard the phrase “thank you to our sponsor, Coinbase.” I won’t tell you what it’s about it’s a google search away. 

It gave me such the Ick that I immediately drained my warplet and listed my Farcaster Pro NFT just above floor (hasn’t sold yet).

Can I ask why you sold your nft? I know the ick you mean but it’s not related to Farcaster?

Farcaster is basically Coinbase offshoot

- started by ex-Coinbase employees
- Base is the default network here
- Coinbase Wallet 2.0 is Basically Just Farcaster
- FarCon full of Base employees and activations
- would not be surprised if there was a forthcoming acquisition of Farcaster by Coinbase (or perhaps one fell through)

Sadly it’s the only way to get legislation passed. You’ve got to play the game.

Of course they don’t. And you just elucidated why boycotts are pointless and dumb. 

but the fact Coinbase *has* a government marketing team spend is pretty much the antithesis of crypto.

All fair points. 

But I don’t think current Farcaster team has any influence over Coinbase government marketing team spend.
