Leaders have 3 possible perspectives:

• Normative (intellectual): they're "prophets" or "philosophers"
• Existential (experience): they're "priests" or "counselors"
• Situational (action): they're "kings" or "administrators"

Most leaders have a dominant perspective with a secondary.

Awesome framework. I’m going to have to think on this & ask a few others. My gut says that I lean into each of these situationally, but that feels like cheating.

I’m an impatient enneagram 9 who’s gotten feedback in line with each of those — “too philosophical”, “gets things done”, “like a therapist” — because my contributions are pretty varied. 

We’ve used the GC Index at work and it’s been tremendously helpful. I’m a weak implementer especially when working with others as evidenced by a low playmaker score.

Yeah your primary perspective is clearly prophet/normative. 

You may not have a true secondary. It's not that you're 0% in the others, but that it's not a large minority.

It's not a question of "how do I act?" but rather "who am I?"
