In my head I’ve started referring to political quadrants in terms of properties of their preferred coordination networks.

Top two are centralized. Bottom two are distributed.

This is neat and I do agree that these coordination mechanisms all exist and are different from each other but I’m not sure they fit neatly into these boxes. The main one that seems off is the bottom right. Why does this have anything to do with the economic right? It makes no mention of money. And if “capitalism” exists then it will naturally form something that looks like the top right, which I’m still not sure is explicitly right wing. And the top left quadrant could also be right wing depending on what is being given back to the smallest nodes. 

So yeah, cute idea. Worth exploring more. Definitely shouldn’t be on a four quadrant graph with these labels

I think it would make the most sense if the labels were:

                       Hierarchical
Symmetrical                     Asymmetrical
                    Non-hierarchical
