Wow, honestly, I’m pretty sold on this design language. Not just the glass which is a bit gimmicky and even tacky in certain places (like the icon gloss, which is giving Samsung circa 2015), but the: → moving of almost all commonly used UI elements (especially search) to the bottom of the screen → the out of the way nature of that bottom UI when it’s not in focus → the animations: they’re too slow otherwise but they look fantastic

It really is something you have to use to appreciate. Because when you look at the glassy effect elements they’re too transparent for sure but that’s while they’re intended to be in your periphery. When you tap them they typically become larger and blur what’s behind them so it’s pretty intuitive and user-friendly. Though I’m sure it would still be bad for the visually impaired.

Agree on those points. Safari has too many steps to close a tab now though.
