Really solid news and sometimes you need a punch to the face to get better. Zcash also getting more hype should push Monero forward. In the end we all win if we have more privacy!

It would be best for decentralization for monero to persevere. Just a scary precedent

They already burned a ton of money on their little experiment, and the Monero community DDoSed them like crazy. To top it off, apparently they lied about how much hash power they gained. It was enough to cause reorgs but not a full 51%. The whole thing was an ugly publicity stunt but as I say it’s probably going to serve to reinforce the importance of getting to the next phases of the roadmap quickly.

Quite sad that Qubic is attempting to “takeover” monero.  I don’t think this ends well for qubic
