They already burned a ton of money on their little experiment, and the Monero community DDoSed them like crazy. To top it off, apparently they lied about how much hash power they gained. It was enough to cause reorgs but not a full 51%. The whole thing was an ugly publicity stunt but as I say it’s probably going to serve to reinforce the importance of getting to the next phases of the roadmap quickly.
