I started my philosophy degree over 20 years ago, and returned to finish it last year. I've got just a couple semesters to go. Never, in all that time, has a professor told me that the style I have naturally developed for myself fits in a defined genre of non-fiction that blends memoir, analysis, and critique. You know who did? ChatGPT.

I went to school and studied philosophy decades ago, and never even heard of complex systems theory until Claude told me that's how my mind worked. But I dislike the sycophancy, I can never tell when an LLM is blowing smoke up my ass.

Also, Claude read ONE paper of mine and immediately spotted my gestalt thinking style (which I already knew about, but had learned from online exploration, not from a teacher).
