Having worked on a responsible AI framework for 8 months, I’ve seen how hard it is to get teams to follow proper safeguards. Especially around copyright and content use. Cases like Disney and Universal suing Midjourney show why compliance isn’t optional. Many still treat it as a checkbox, but in reality, it's a foundation for building AI we can trust. 🙂

As an artist, I deeply hate AI slop, but I also don't see the difference between AI art and a collage as far as copyright law. Once you do with the art after that is a different story, but I don't know how Midjourney can police that.

I think they're going to run up against the same problem they had with MP3's sorta. If a pretty normal person can download a couple GB and run their own stable diffusion to create Star Wars images locally - they can really only make examples out of people or branded platforms, they can't stop the actual tech.
