IMO going viral shouldn’t be the pinnacle, it should be integral human relationships.

The original hierarchy of needs implies that anyone can potentially fulfill it for themselves, but not everyone can go viral. In addition, going viral is not something everyone will like or want, whereas self-actualization might be.

maslow actually based his hierarchy on his time w the blackfoot nation but completely flipped the meaning. in blackfoot thinking, self actualization is just the starting point and an individual responsibility towards reaching community actualization aka what do *we* become when You thrive

the problem is that needs are not necessarily hierarchical, and there are already a lot of theories that try to name and describe them

a better way to think about them would be to, for example, take the Max-Neef's fundamental human needs model and update the ways in which particular needs can be satisfied
