Spitballing: Two over educated left leaning regions in US: 1. NYC 2. Parts of California In California it’s easier to live a happy life vibing. In NYC you can’t really do that without lots of money. Kind of a variant of the PG “different cities make you want different things”

The inequality gap continues to worsen across major cities in the US. NYC just manages to mobilise over others to tackle the problem. Let’s see if any of them are ever successful in addressing our needs.

I think in general the huge amount of wealth inequality probally contributes heavily, 1% of new york citizens makes about 44% of income according to statistics i could find. But in a broader sense im really not sure why these canidates actually succeed here, over other cities of similar demographics and wealth distribution. https://www.gothamgazette.com/49-topics/economy/683-as-incomes-gap-widens-new-york-grows-apart
