Introducing DARKMATTER A better default terminal experience using Ghostty, zsh, Starship, and AIChat. I wanted to help developers who want a better terminal experience but are not sure where to start. There's so many features offered in apps like Warp that are actually pretty easy to achieve in any terminal. Ghostty.org is an extremely fast terminal emulator written in Zig by Mitchell Hashimoto (invented terraform and insane shit like that) zsh is already a great default shell for so many and can provide a decent experience with the right setup and plugins Starship.rs provides a beautiful and highly customizable prompt. Even with no config it looks great! AIChat is a CLI tool for using AI in the shell, whether it's a simple prompt, asking for a shell command, or even providing files as context, it's crazy powerful There's some other goodies in there too such as a custom theme I've put together that models the style I've adopted over the years, so definitely check it out! So you're telling me I can get fish-like out of the box features on zsh just using Starship?? And I can also use Starship on fish to (presumably) have the same experience?
