Improving Farcaster developer docs Looking for examples where the docs are: 1) Confusing 2) Incorrect 3) Missing something that would have saved you a bunch of time

i think a free, no sign up, public RPC in the docs would help people playing around with the protocol. is there a reason why farcaster doesn't advertise one?

Not high priority right now. I don't think most new developers are looking to build at the protocol level vs. mini apps. Also: does Ethereum offer this? Two options that work well enough: 1. Practical - Neynar has a free tier 2. Maximally decentralized -- Run your own node

i've always used free public RPCs that i learned about on the timeline in my apps 🤷‍♂️ being able to pull data from the network for free with no sign ups using a simple command line curl is powerful demonstration of the network's capabilities imo farcaster is more similar to base/OP than ethereum. and in evm development new devs don't even think about RPCs because viem/wagmi have public ones built in. see optimism's docs here

100% agree Sure you don't get super fast or rate limit free RPCs, but at least you have some kind of access. Pinata is still one of the only free snapchain nodes out there and it's still suffering with p2p issues we can't fix :/
