Improving Farcaster developer docs Looking for examples where the docs are: 1) Confusing 2) Incorrect 3) Missing something that would have saved you a bunch of time

i think a free, no sign up, public RPC in the docs would help people playing around with the protocol. is there a reason why farcaster doesn't advertise one?

mini-apps in other clients, while I know it's more of responsibility of a particular client, having a common place to know the caveats and differences would be beneficial

It would be nice to have that a Miniapp URL can simply be constructed like `https://farcaster.xyz/~/mini-apps/launch?domain=domain` this in the https://miniapps.farcaster.xyz/docs/guides/urls docs. I was searching for a way to open a mini app from my mini app, and struggled since there’s currently no way to get the app Id

Docs are pretty robust. One dumb mistake I made during publishing was registering the naked domain as a miniapp when my vercel setup adds www dot in the front automatically. Couldn't figure out why my manifest wasn't validating. Might be worth a callout on that page.

Fc caches things and i wasnt able to find invalidation docs/resources (i remember there used to be an invalidatoe). Very important because one big value prop of miniapps is infeed distro and if your app looks bad and you cant fix it, yikes!

I would say: Being able to develop a mini app natively then figuring out how to scale outward to mobile web is difficult to figure out. I think it would be awesome to show an example where you have web and farcaster mini app code differences, but to have a similar experience on web, you can illustrate how to use "isinMiniApp" and "AuthKit" contextually

need to re-validate the npx miniapp starter repo flows. i've run into quite a few startup bugs last few times, even more so since solana support added neynar has their own starter path too, which adds to the confusion

Suppose you want to use the protocol APIs. You end up here: https://docs.farcaster.xyz/reference/hubble/datatypes/messages First of all, you will probably think that you have to install hubble. And then, I'm not sure where a dev will find that: - timestamps in messages are not normal timestamps - you can have up to 2 embeds per cast (4? in which case?) - There is a max size limit for cast_body, what is it?

Not "docs" in the traditional way, but defining constants that are scattered around the documentation in a .proto file would make them programmatically available and make life easier for some of us. farcaster_epoch, max_cast_len, max_longcast_len, max_embeds, all the values that are described in various sections of the docs (mostly in the old, hubble documentation?) https://github.com/farcasterxyz/snapchain/pull/542

Connecting with curl to locaalhost:3381 keeps failing Took me a while to find out I had to map locaalhost to 127.0.0.1 in /etc/hosts first to make it work https://docs.farcaster.xyz/hubble/migrating#reading-from-snapchain

Love this initiative — better docs = more builders. One thing I struggled with: – The client auth flow was a bit confusing the first time. Could use a clear example with refresh tokens. Also, maybe a small “Getting Started for Hackers” section? Something super hands-on to get devs to “hello world” faster.
