Just an observation: Iām seeing quite a few people (including some I genuinely enjoyed reading) pivot from the content they used to share to just offloading their entire camera roll into āquote cast your captureā type of casts or sharing photos from Pinterest, because it performs better for the leaderboard and makes it easier to crank out 20 casts a day. And honestly, that makes total sense, since it really feels like quantity over quality is whatās being rewarded. But Iām not sure how weāre supposed to onboard anyone if thatās what the algorithm favors and actually rewards. I completely understand why people pivot, stop writing their thoughts and sharing what they used to, and why so many just get discouraged from casting altogether.

Yessss, and thatās exactly whatās happening. Some people are pivoting to the type of content that clearly gets you to the top rewards, and some are just walking away. I miss the early days of /degen (before all the farming), when people tipped each other for good content, and it felt like so many could thrive just by being authentic. And then, of course, that changed too.

Yes, and when you cast a thought, very few people partake in the discussion. Farcaster had great discussions back in the day.. 400 $DEGEN

Yeahā¦ Iāve noticed people rarely comment, only quote cast, since thatās what gets them engagement for the leaderboard š So now everything just revolves around that. Iām definitely going to stick around, but I canāt say Iām happy to see what itās turning into, and I definitely donāt feel like onboarding anyone anymore. Hopefully Farcon will change my mood, IRL events always help haha
