How do you label AI assisted posts? Where the idea might have been conceived by a human, but then it's run through an LLM for polish/ enhancement.

So clearly the new tech can enhance legitimate information as well. What makes it post truth? The ability of the new tech to fabricate media we used to consider reliable sources (like writing, images, and video)?

We can no longer verify sources or distinguish manipulated images/vids/content. Truth still exists but it's crowded out by noise...

I guess I'm pushing back on when the distinction gets made about a post truth world. All the highlighted areas were growing with the internet and surrounding technology long before the current rise of AI. AI is unquestionably accelerating these trends and further blurring the lines of what can be trusted, but what makes this the definitive moment of transition?

Don’t disagree. Dead internet theory is just gaining steam. The difference now, tho, is I’m actively questioning everything on X. That wasn’t the case before since bots used to be easy to detect. Now, it’s genuinely difficult so I question the authenticity of literally every post I see. Basically, the internet is forcing my mindset to be radically skeptical, and I feel it in a tangible way.
