I can personally vouch that @dish had absolutely no idea and handled the situation perfectly.

Tripping and falling is an accident. Dude made a mistake when he took those funds and then he attempted to make amends by returning the funds. That’s a mistake. He didn’t run off with any money and he hasn’t touched any money at clanker despite it being nearly 100x that amount. You can have your opinion I’m gonna stick w mine

I thought so (the bulding the clanker part) too. Not so sure now. Could be (and I'm pretty sure) that Jack ( @dish) was the one behind the clanker tech. But I can't know (until confirmed by Jack or someone else from the team).  

And no, they (allegedly) didn't simply return the money and take the L. Money was taken from the wallet, sent to tornadocash, then to a CeX. Then the team did an investigation, and told him they know it was him, and threatened legal actions. Allegedly. If that is true, that's drastically different then "I took the money bcs I had money issues but after some internal soul searching, decided to return it". 

Again, while I concede that people can change, a right does not make a wrong. Not just like that.

It’s not a great look but from what I understand he pretty much built clanker and then brought everyone else on no? And haven’t they not touched the 17 million in fees? Idk I just personally think that yeah that fund theft was shitty but he returned the money took the L and has now built one of the best things for the ecosystem in a while I am cool with him at this point

Hard disagree. 

Stealing project funds and trying to launder them definitely has an impact on his role as founder and the face figure of Clanker.
