dexscreener is the most successful business that everybody hates brand in the shitter, product is worse than many competitors, but network effects so good CT forced to submit to "yes honey i'll pay the $300" couldn't even name an individual who works there. etherscan vibes but generally people respect etherscan i think.

I agree with the $300 piece and having an ecosystem where grifters can steal other people's coin profiles ... but I really do like their watchliss and saving of info/markups on a chart. I rely on it daily

why do we keep going there? I’m not even sure myself. I hate their business model too and try to force myself to use gecko but there’s just something sticky about dex? There should be a maxim similar to “respect the pamp” for extremely sticky tools that keep you coming back for more abuse.

Why everybody hates them? Like everybody launches 500 coins and go bunkrupt from $300 profile updates? As a user, it’s fully free and you always know if coin exists, its data will be there? I remember back in 2023 people used DexTools and Birdeye even more, but Dex won. Prolly for a reason.
