Got copilot running in NeoVim and it’s pretty intuitive but it’s not as thorough in its suggestions as in VS Code. Maybe I need to tinker more? Im also kind of curious about Claude Code in the terminal. Does it play nice with NeoVim? I imagine so but I haven’t seen it in action yet.

Claude Code is a different paradigm than IDE first code assistants. Give it a try, it's much more powerful. But it lives outside of neovim.

It outputs whole files right? Like I would need to nvim into the files it creates rather than seeing my open file update in real time?

It makes files, edits files, runs commands, runs tests, makes pull requests, everything.
