Can we take a moment and appreciate how lucky we are as a society that we have OSI's definition of OSS? It's the closest thing we have to neutral technology: no discrimination against users or builders or politics or nationality. No getting rugged by context or regime changes. We're so lucky to have OSS at our core.

The OSIβs stance has lead us to corporate capture. Non-commercial licenses that require large revenue positive companies pay are a useful evolution Big Time Public License being one example https://bigtimelicense.com/versions/2.0.2
