If I hadn't bought a year subscription of Cursor I'd consider switching to Zed. VSCode is too slow.

I feel like we need an /editors channel, this topic has outgrown /dev. Varying opinions on Zed, VS Code, Windsurf, Cursor, Neovim, etc etc in the age of LLM and agentic coding. I'm always curious to see how people's workflows change

I rarely spend time in an IDE nowadays. Pretty soon I imagine it going entirely away as a primary interface for code change.

Agree. I'm a big fan of Cursor, especially running Gemini 2.5 flash, but the VS Code foundation it too slow. File sizes and tsserver don't help but the few times I've used Zed, it feels like it can handle this much much better than VS Code. It's to be expected since VS Code and tsserver are written in Typescript. They're going to be slow.
