If we want crypto to go mainstream, we need to admit we’re still building for ourselves. Terms like “bridge,” “lockup,” or “seed phrase” mean nothing to most people—and they shouldn’t have to. Great products hide complexity.
Yes, the privacy-maxis and crypto-native degens are essential—but they’ll always be a niche. To grow, we need simplicity. Friend.tech gave us a glimpse. Farcaster is pushing the space forward. And Degen can be part of that story—but only if we create real value, not just distribute free rewards.
Let’s build products that speak human. Let’s make Degen something people want to use—because it’s easy, valuable, and fun.
We experiment, we evolve, we grow—together. GN. 19 replies

Agreed that "web3", as it currently exists, will never go mainstream. It will remain niche and live as a subculture of the broader tech community. What will happen, as @jacek said, is that there will be builders that see the light and "build products that speak human." We gotta accept the reality that most of humanity could not care less about the backend of their tech, games, toys, software, machines, domains, etc. 1 reply
