The produce at normal (fka middle class) grocery stores goes bad much faster now Bought a box of organic strawberries yesterday, and a few were already covered with mold this morning Rarely happens with produce from upper class stores (eg. Whole Foods). Yet another way the growing class disparity is felt (but hidden)

Strawberries and raspberries always seem to turn fastest, thankfully my kids usually destroy them before they come close lol I seem to have better luck and prices with Aldi or Lidl produce, possibly bc of smaller stock/quicker restocks. When I get them at the bigger stores (Publix and Kroger where I am) they turn quicker maybe bc I wait til they’re on sale which likely means they’re clearing out the last of a shipment before they turn.
