I want to search and discover recommendations from people I trust, who have good taste and trade their brand trust for insincere endorsements. This was the original inspiration for @discove

trying to find the best AI tool for writing and somehow google, reddit, twitter, ... is like 10x less useful and trustworthy than a friend's recommendation

maybe markets can fix this?

maybe a type of prediction market?

been thinking about this too.
some sort of prediction market mechanism couldd be a possible solution, but the challenge is that these ranking/recommendation markets are subjective, there is no right or wrong deterministic event. 

plus there are some practical/bootstrap challenges
first challenge is to get enough people to care about a topic, next is to have a community around it (subreddit/channels), then solve for some moderation/council system that holds the spirit of law together.
