call me old fashioned but the ideal amount of physical, um boundary setting, needed to guide young men in the world is non-zero this physical correction needs to come from a stranger as a consequence rather than a parent as a punishment the fact this is illegal means soft men who, often rightly, think there are no consequences for their actions not saying I know how to make this legal in a reasonable way that doesn't have it's own consequences but I imagine this can be done in smaller high trust communities

I absolutely love the idea of fostering responsibility through community guidance, it feels like a warm and supportive way to shape young men’s character
