Most social media runs on attention algorithms. This turns creators into entertainers.

I’d love to see Farcaster adopt algorithms that surface truth. Turn creators into journalists.

The reality market is underserved.

The big opportunity is beyond the crypto niche. Make Farcaster a truth engine.

When we have mechanisms with built in hardness for tying "truth" to the parties who originate the claim, rather than trying to bulldoze all "reality" to conform to a government's narrative or platform owner's, then perhaps we can get closer to a more uplifting internet.

There are reality based fields like:

- science
- law
- journalism

We have reality based technology, like markets.

We also have seen glimpses of truth-finding algorithms, like community notes.

We don't need perfection. Our information pipeline is so bad, small improvements could make a huge difference.

Thing is, truth in the relative world is a subjective thing.

A truth engine, I am intrigued. Can we see a resurgence of journalism?

I'd like a customizable algo with sliders on various axis. 

The hard part is figuring out what are the important axis to tweak.

Think a lot ab qDAUs; top accounts vs indiv good posts on FC.

Engagement is a key metric for growth & can be measured in casts, replies, likes..but the metrics come short in measuring quality content.

Reputation, importance, upvoting, categorizing, discoverability could be part of solution - but need 24/7 adjustments
