How does everyone onramp to crypto currently? I buy crypto on Coinbase (euro to eth) and send it to my cold/hot wallets afterwards.

Is there an easier/cheaper/faster way to do this?

Buying it directly in Metamask looks very expensive.

I would say what you're doing is probably the most comfortable way, but it definitely isn't the best way.

imho the best possible way is to have a person w/ key+id to contribute some other capital, and for a market maker on the inside to subsidize (w/ paymaster) some proof of contribution (maybe redeemable for SoV)

I’m not sure I understand what you are saying. There are better ways to do it or that other ways are harder than what I am doing?

I can think of more ideal onboarding mechanisms, but pretty much all of this some painstakingly slow departure away from localbitcoin (imho).

Yeah it’s for a store in Sacramento and you would normally get this after hitting checkout on your cart

It only on-ramps you to USDC and most people don’t care about crypto so it doesn’t say anything about it 

But if you want to on-ramp at zero cost right now, this is a way I can offer you where $100 -> $100

2. tips take up most of the screen (I am from Belgium and don't do tips)

I use Coinbase and Gemini. The latter has lower fees on ActiveTrader. If you’re stuck with Coinbase, you can get lower fees by placing a limit order and checking “Post only.” At the lowest volume, your fee schedule is 0.4% (that’s a 33% savings compared to 0.6% on taker orders).
