gm โ€“ today is penny's gotcha day! we adopted her from a kill shelter in 2019. she was emaciated (weighed just over 10 lbs) and badly behaved, suffering from severe PTSD. at one point we almost returned her due to her continual outbreaks. over time we showered her with affection and today she's much healthier (nearly 20 lbs!), friendlier and means the world to us! the vet estimates she's around 8-9 years old. ๐Ÿฅณ

Love this! We adopted Pippen after he was rescued from a farm before he was shot. He was so skinny and starved for affection after being chained to a log for his first year of life. Every time I see him snuggling my boys on the couch, I think of what a wonderful life he has now and how lucky we are that he was saved. Heโ€™s the best dog ever.
