" yes i don't listen to a lot of podcasts personally (more of a reader than a listener); however, i've subscribed (on hypersub and in web2) for the same underlying reason sometimes you relate to the content enough that you want to pay for it, without payment being required

youtube is a good example you don’t have to pay to watch your favorite streamers or content creators but people are always making donations.

Totally agree When you really connect with the content supporting the creators financially feels natural even if it's not required. It’s all about showing appreciation for their hard work.
