Maybe luxury will move more more towards identifying the highest quality stuff (a subjective blend of aesthetic and physical quality, materials, durability, and style) and pricing it fairly rather than following specific names. ...maybe

Not die, but be redefined. I think we see this a bit with concepts like “Self care” (a term I hate). What’s self care for me isn’t self care for someone else in the exact way what’s luxury to others looks miserable to me.
