A lot of things sir; 1. Cancer is a really complex disease to treat, what works for A has a 90% chance on not working for B, dealing with genetics is always difficult, because the slightest change will cause a whole new problem entirely.

2. Developing new cancer treatments needs major investments, research, testing, clinical trials and management, it’s a lot, and not everyone is ready to throw in huge money into something that won’t yield in the near future, especially with the advent of vaccines and infectious diseases drugs

3. The regulatory bodies, approval of new treatments is a lot of work, the moment things go sideways, they have to pull everything back and keep these drugs in check, they might have a hand to play in development and approval problems too, but watching the market is the major deal breaker for them.
