I'm in shock at the added sugar in soft drinks in the USA. In Spain, a Sprite has 4.4 grams of sugar per 100 ml. Here, in NYC, I'm seeing 12 grams of sugar per 100 ml. If we compare two cans, they are almost the same size. In Spain, you ingest 13.3 grams, while in the USA, you get 38 grams. That's A LOT OF SUGAR! How's diabetes in the USA?

Diabetes in the USA is raging out of control 😊 Vast majority of the population has metabolic dysfunction. Like nearly everyone

I have just googled it, and oh my goodness. 38 million people have diabetes, the high is almost the size of my country. It is wild! Aren't people aware of this problem?

People aren't really educated to make informed choices about their diet within their means. Many kids are taught to choose healthier foods like fruits and veggies, but that doesn't really tell the whole story and many of these kids (especially in black communities) grow up and live in food deserts and are even restricted from traveling to neighboring areas to buy good food by toll roads, lack of public transit and police profiling. A lot of the education is useless too, focusing on dietary boogeyman like seed oils, dyes and preservatives and ignoring macronurients and salt which are the biggest problems.
