just once, i’d like to be able to talk to [insert name of a person i feel safe around] about what i’ve been going through as i work through past traumas, without falling apart. is that too much to ask.

i know crying is okay, but i would like to be able to get my point across without bawling. it’s so difficult to do it coherently. it’s already difficult enough to open up this bigly. sigh.

relevant to this book i’m currently reading… basically says max ugly crying at max volume is the most healing and it will help your life a lot to do it as often as you can https://www.audible.ca/pd/197733816X

It may be too much to ask…right now. Maybe when you’ve worked through at least one or two of them, that might be when. For me, it helps to have a therapist who can make me articulate through the bigger stuff. And nothing really takes the place of that one trusted friend, partner, etc. who can be there for you through thick and thin.
