For those of you living in NYC — does it sound about right to be spending around $400 a month for two people on groceries? Or is that low/high?

especially if you are cooking often and hosting others for dinner

One thing to be clear: that budget of $400 does not include eating out or hosting others, those are extra expense

usually when i buy groceries i assume some will be used to host others although if need to run out to get more of something for it yeah i dont count that either and also assumed eating out was not inluded

if i had kids i think $400 would my weekly grocery

Yeah I’m expecting the baby mid September will be interesting to budget for 3 + dog

super curious to see how much spend changes
