Pretty much the same thoughts. I really like Farcaster and I still believe most artists and collectors should move here, but that's not happening and I'm afraid it won't. Unfortunately, X is where everyone who's already established is, and as long as you stay inside the digital art bubble, it's manageable. But if you step outside, like you said: fascism, hate, and intolerance around every corner. 🤢 And that’s not even mentioning who’s behind the wheel, I feel sick just thinking about it. 🤮 Bluesky, disappointing. I really like how it's organized on paper, but when it comes down to it, no matter how many 3D artist lists there are (which is what I've explored), 90% of the posts are low-effort porn made with Daz3D in five minutes.

We need more folks to come here and I think to make that happen they (new people) have to feel the magic we all felt at some point. To me that means making 25,000 true fans who can then propagate. I won’t bring people here anymore because there are too many invisible rules and it’s too hard to explain.

I agree with you 100%. Even though the UI looks similar, the paradigm shift between X and Farcaster is too much for a lot of people. At least when it comes to artists, over there it’s all about spamming your creations with very little dialogue. That doesn’t work here, and I get that it can be quite confusing at first. I guess in return you gain more meaningful conversation and that long-lost feeling that there’s a human being on the other side of the screen.

yes! 💯 it's hard when the value proposition and UX are no longer strong selling points. Found myself recently in a conversation w a crypto enthusiast saying "have you heard of Farcaster?" but then hesitated because I know it doesn't provide a good experience to new users. before I used to rave about FC to anyone who's even remotely crypto adjacent

That’s my feeling. I just brought someone inadvertently and then felt the load of orienting and the need to make excuses for the crypto noise. My own engagement has dropped off dramatically because I don’t have time or interest in playing all the games. So much potential, but so many barriers
