strong opinion, loosely held: AI-generated videos of humans (today) are a huge unlock AND still feel v uncompelling relative to the best creators sure it may work fine for product marketing videos rn and it’ll get magnitudes better but i’m skeptical it will ever match what makes most influencers so influential

The most famous Japanese vocals is estimated to have a net worth between $100-$250 Million Dollars. We ain’t seen nothing yet. And Ado, who is a faceless singer who is completely anonymous, grossed about $50M since hitting the scene in 2020. The stage is set for anons and non humans to thrive. https://media.tenor.com/8JhcC4OtwC8AAAAC/hatsune-miku-dance

Yes, AND I think there’s a whole spectrum of AI hybrids people will deeply connect with. Like that Japanese biker 50 year old catfishing as a hot girl. His following grew even after it was revealed to not be him. After all, Kim Kardashian “naturally” looks like an ugly hobbit and is a beauty icon billionaire. The spectrum is full of artificiality that can drive real lasting pseudo social connection https://futurism.com/the-byte/young-female-twitter-star-turns-out-50-year-old-man-using-deepfakes
