anyone else feel farcaster being more quiet than usual?

I see a lot of frustration with the algorithm. Many people are starting to realize that having followers doesn’t mean as much as having the algorithm bless you.

Content doesn’t matter and distribution does. But when you can’t help distribution what’s the point?

Airdrops are exciting but also lots of hurt feelings. 

Mix all that together and lots of folks step back a bit.

The good news is lots of folks are catching onto the abnormal distribution. 

It’s fascinating to watch but making many people question how much time they spend here. 

I don’t know if I like that direction per se but I respect it.

There’s a weird thing about the algo for sure. It just feels unnatural.

Ex: When you look at the trending tab, you see casts with a few engagement get posted there giving them huge boosts (fwiw they are not really “trending”)
