a bit nonsensical and it's not a phrase I would use
 
but I will say that despite last hearing it 15 years ago it still pops into my head when I see it and I see it fairly often

My fencing coach Volodymyr used to yell at us “maximum lunge” until we were about to fall apart. Then he’d yell “more maximum” - a phrase that made no sense but stuck with me. Now whenever I do anything hard, I hear him in my mind yelling “more maximum” at me. Funny how these coach-isms stay with you.
