From yesterday: 

Spaghetti alla chitarra (square) with tuna and tomatoes from the garden

I saw this once on Farcaster and remembered it while trying to come up with a 5-minute lunch today.

Had to improvise so fresh fettuccine instead of spaghetti, no tomatoes (I ate them all), green onion instead of parsley, and added lots of chopped olives.

My second bid on a cast of a recipe so far, and not my last!

I make the cod variation much less often (especially since canned cod is not common, and I suspect less good than canned tuna)

For some reason it feels more Scandinavian than mediterranean

Ah I would’ve loved capers but didn’t have any on hand. Briny and salty Mediterranean dishes are the best.

Must re-stock on tomatoes and try.

Olives are a great alternative! When I don't have tomatoes I usually add  capers and lemon. But green olives on their own are a great add.

If you want to try a variation on tuna: cod fillet, lots of tomatoes and black olives

After casting it, I laughed too. The little confession reminded me of this William Carlos Williams poem I adore.

I rate it tuna out of ten. If your human has a can of tuna, I recommend you convince them to make this recipe and give you a spoonful of tuna before they start cooking.
